ZUK, in case you’ve never heard of them is a subsidiary of Lenovo which I’m sure you’ve heard of. They recently released the rumored Z2 Pro in a dedicated event last week.
This device is considered an upgrade rather than a successor to the Z1, I’ll clarify in a minute; before then, lets look at what this bad boy packs.
Camera: ZUK got this covered with a 13MP ISOCELL camera at 1.34µm pixels and an f/1.8 aperture – for the primary camera. For you selfie lovers, they gave the secondary camera an 8MP shooter at 1.4µm and an f/2.0 aperture. It also records in 4K. These camera specs puts it well in the ultrapixel family.
Screen Resolution: At 5.2″, it rocks an AMOLED display with full HD.
Connectivity: It is said to support 23 cellular networks, 4G LTE and VoLTE. Bluetooth and WiFi a/c are also present. For cable connections, it has USB-C or 3.1.
Sensors: It has a fingerprint sensor on the home button like the Z1, a heart rate sensor and an altimeter.
Storage and Software: It comes with Marshmallow(I’m guessing a custom skinned version), 6GB of RAM and a massive 128GB of ROM. The presence of a microSD card slot can neither be confirmed nor denied at this point.
Battery and Build: All that power runs on a 3,100mAh battery and supports quickcharge 3.0. It measures 145.4 x 70.5 x 7.5mm and weighs 145g.
Pricing: You can get all these for CYN2,699 or $216.
ZUK also said they had plans to make a less powerful and consequently less expensive device rocking 4GB of RAM and a still somewhat sufficient 64GB of ROM. This model is said to hit stores in May – on the 10th to be precise.
