When it comes to mid range devices, almost every mobile manufacturer has one. Samsung calls it’s own the Z series. The special thing about the Z series is the fact that it does NOT run Android. Rather it runs the Tizen OS developed by Samsung themselves. That being said, you would forgive the specs of the Samsung Z2 for being so low – especially the battery.
Without further ado, here they are:
RUMORED SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SAMSUNG Z2
Screen: 3.97-inch 800×480 LCD touchscreen,
Storage: 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM
Camera: 5 MP rear camera, VGA front camera
Battery: 1,500mAh
OS: Tizen 2.4
Connectivity: LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11n
Now, my issue with this device is the fact that a device that supports LTE should not have a 1,500mAh battery! But, maybe I am judging using Android as a yardstick. Maybe, just maybe Tizen OS is a lot more battery efficient than Android.
Now, another thing is that this device will be released in selected countries. They are:
Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, South Africa, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Pricing is expected to be around $70
More info will be confirmed after the official unveiling tomorrow 11/08/2016
