Chinese phone maker and world’s third most popular smartphone vendor, Xiaomi has released their latest device. The handset named Xiaomi MI 4i, the new smartphone was formed in a polycarbonate plastic body which measures 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm while weighing at 130 grams.
The Mi 4i is a global model of the Xiaomi Mi 4i (the last “i” stands for international) the full list of regions where the product will be available is not yet out, although China would be the first place for the Smartphone to be made available. However, Flipkart (an E-Commerce company) will be selling the Mi 4i on April 30 in India priced INR 12,999 or $205.
Specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 4i include a 5-inch IPS display with 16 million colors and 1080p resolution summing to a 441 PPI. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS pimped with Xiaomi’s MIUI v6.0 which has a lot in common to Apple’s iOS design.
The Mi 4i primary Camera houses a 13-megapixel alongside a dual-tone LED flash. The secondary Camera houses a 5MP shooter for taking good selfies while a 3120mAh battery taps current into the device.
Xiaomi Mi 4i is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 615 chipset which has two sets of Cortex A53 cores running at 1.7GHz and 1.1GHz respectively. The processor houses an Adreno 405 GPU and is aided by 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of non-expandable storage as well.
There’s no NFC but LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11, A-GPS, GLONASS and a microUSB port lead the connectivity pack. The device is loaded with Quick Charge effect, a self-explanatory feature which gives the smartphone a 40% battery level in 60 minutes.
