The Android 7.0 Nougat beta has just been released for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in Korea, as promised much earlier by Samsung to release the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta through their ‘Galaxy beta program’ and they kept to their word.
Lot of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users are already getting confirmation through the ‘Galaxy beta program’ and are already downloading the program through their the Samsung membership app.
We were able to lay hands on the build numbers of the update. For the Galaxy S7, it’s G930SKSU1ZPK4, G930KKKU1ZPK4 and G930LKLU1ZPK4; while for the Galaxy S7 Edge, it’s G935SKSU1ZPK4, G935KKKU1ZPK4 and G935LKLU1ZPK4 respectively for Korean carriers SK Telecom, KT corporation and LG Uplus.
But when will the update get to Nigeria? that a question that will be answered with time but for now we have been able to confirm the update is now available in Korea and if you own either the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge then you should be able to get the update if you are in Korea.
To get the update kindly do the following
- download the Samsung membership app and install it
- Also do install the Galaxy Beta program and register too
- once your device get picked for the update, you will get the confirmation in the “Samsung Beta Program”
From the screenshot above we can see the the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta is about 1,294MB which is kind of heavy and no idea of the final update size will be like.
We have not been informed when the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta will be available for Nigerian to update too but I will say that the update is not far away and you can just perform some of the instructions above and stay ready.
